The U`s had a good win at promotion chasing Millwall on Tuesday night, they boast one of the best away records in the Division.

They are struggling to settle into their new surroundings though and have so far won only seven out of twenty home games this season.

They are currently ten points outside the play off positions and need to win their final six games to have any chance of making the play off`s.

History

The two clubs paths have only ever crossed five times in their histories both home and away.

Probably the most famous meeting was in 1971 when Fourth Division Colchester knocked out the then mighty Leeds United 3-2 in the FA Cup at Layer Road.

The two clubs met in December at Elland Road with Colchester winning 2-1.
Leeds were in the middle of a dreadful patch which saw manager Gary McAllister lose his job the weekend after this defeat.
Leeds had taken the lead through Robert Snodgrass just past the half hour, Mark Yeates equalised on the stroke of half time from a corner in controversial circumstances when Rui Marques was ordered off the pitch to change his shirt, Yeates scored from the corner that was swung in.

David Prutton was sent off after 66 minutes for Leeds for two bookable offences and Colchester scored once again from the resulting set play.
