Peterborough United have extended the loan of Adam Clayton from Leeds United.

The midfielder will now stay with the League One club until January 30th as he continues to enjoy regular first team football.

Clayton has appeared in all three of Peterborough`s games since his arrival at London Road.

He came off the bench after 54 minutes to make his debut at Southampton with the side already 3-0 down and he helped them to restore some credibility with the game finishing 4-1.

The 21 year old started both of their other two games, he helped them to a 2-2 draw with Leyton Orient and a 2-1 win over Rochdale, he as also earned praise from Peterborough with his performances.

Clayton only signed for Leeds in August for an undisclosed fee from Manchester City after an initial one month on loan.

He as made just two substitute appearances so far for Leeds against Derby and Nottingham Forest and boss Simon Grayson is keen for the player to enjoy some regular first team football.
