Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen is backing his players to get themselves out of their recent poor run of form.

Christiansen has seen his side drop from the top of the Championship to sixth in recent weeks following a run of three straight defeats. It is in contrast to the side that started the season so well and topped the Championship following their win against Birmingham City, a result that made it four straight wins.

The Danish manager, who arrived from Cypriot side APOEL in the summer, is now facing his first real test at Leeds as he looks to find the form that saw his side start the season so well and he is backing the squad to bounce back.

“I have a lot of confidence in the players, they have managed to get to the top of the table and keep six clean sheets in a row,” Christiansen told the Leeds official website.

“Despite us having three defeats, we still have the same group that got us to that position and they have to get us back there.”

Leeds face a stern test in their next two games with clashes against two of the inform teams in the division. Leeds travel to Bristol City today with Lee Johnson`s side having lost just once so far this season to occupy fourth place.

Next up for Leeds is a Yorkshire derby against Sheffield United. The blades are enjoying life back in the Championship under manager Chris Wilder and seven wins from their last nine games has seen them climb up to third in the table.
