Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen is expecting a difficult game when they travel to Barnsley today.

Christiansen is looking for a response from his players following the disappointing defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers in midweek but he also knows that a win could lift Leeds into the play-off places for a couple of hours and the head coach says they are ready for the challenge.

“Saturday is a derby game which will be very difficult,” Christiansen told the Leeds official website.

“Barnsley will try to put us under pressure and go into the tackles strongly and we have to respond in the same way.

“A lot of the players know what it will be like at Barnsley and have played there before, so we know what to expect going there.

“It will be a challenge, but we will give our best, both sides want to come back from defeats in midweek.”

Christiansen will be without a trio of players at Barnsley. Ronaldo Vieira will serve a one-match suspension for his sending off in midweek and Stuart Dallas and Pierre-Michel Lasogga are out through injury.
