Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen says they will go into the clash with Nottingham Forest today confident despite their defeat at Birmingham City at the weekend.

Leeds have returned to the play-off places in recent weeks following a good run of results and despite their disappointing defeat at Struggling Birmingham on Saturday, they come into the game against Nottingham Forest today in fifth place in the Championship.

Christiansen is looking for a positive response today against a Nottingham Forest side that sacked manager Mark Warburton yesterday.

“We have to pick ourselves up now for the game with Nottingham Forest, which we will go into with confidence, looking to take a positive result,” Christiansen told the Leeds official website.

Christiansen will hope to have Ronaldo Vieira and Eunan O`Kane back in the squad today after the pair missed the clash at Birmingham through injury and Samu Saiz could make his first start in four games. Saiz came off the bench at Birmingham after missing the previous two games with a calf injury.

Stuart Dallas and Caleb Ekuban remain sidelined through injury for Leeds.

Nottingham Forest could include former Leeds players Liam Bridcutt and Mustapha Carayol in their squad today. Bridcutt was allowed to leave Leeds in the summer whilst Carayol spent the second half of last season on loan at Elland Road from Middlesbrough.
