Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen says anything can happen as they prepare to take on Leicester City in the Carabao Cup.

Leeds travel to the King Power Stadium this evening for the clash against the Premier League side. Leicester started life under caretaker manager Michael Appleton with a win at Swansea City at the weekend.

Both clubs are expected to make wholesale changes for the clash with the league taking priority for both sides with Leicester looking to pull away from the relegation zone and Leeds looking to push for promotion.

Leeds made nine changes in the previous round for their trip to Burnley, another Premier League side who had enjoyed a good start to the season.

Leeds eventually went through on penalties and Christiansen says anything can happen.

“Leicester had a good win this weekend, a win that can give them confidence back,” Christiansen told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

“You never know when`s a good time (to play another club). When a team are hurt and they`re suffering down the table, that`s probably when it`s most dangerous to face them. You never know when is the right moment.

“We faced Burnley when they were seventh in the league, playing well and getting important points and we managed to qualify for the next round. Anything can happen.”
