The Championship for next season is now taking shape with Blackpool and Birmingham City joining West Ham United in getting relegated from the Premier League.

Birmingham lost 2-1 at Tottenham Hotspur to seal their fate whilst Blackpool went down 4-2 at Manchester United.

It will be the first time that Simon Grayson will have travelled back to Blackpool, the club he left to take over the Leeds reigns in December 2008.
West Ham had already had their fate sealed last weekend when they were beaten at Wigan Athletic.

Wigan pulled off the great escape, losing just one of their final six games to avoid the drop on the final day of the season with a late goal at Stoke City.

We have already known for a few weeks that we will be travelling to the South Coast to face Brighton and Hove Albion and Southampton who have won promotion from League One.

The only remaining place left to be decided will be sorted out next weekend when Peterborough United face Huddersfield Town in the League One play off final.

The fixtures for the new season will be released on Friday June 17th at 9am.
