Prospective new Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino say the Football League are hurting the club by refusing to allow him to buy the club.

The Football League ruled last week that Cellino was unfit to own Leeds United under their ‘owners and directors test` after Cellino was found guilty of tax evasion in Italy.

Cellino appealed the decision and he is currently waiting for an independent QC to rule on his appeal but he feels the Football League is not representing Leeds United properly. Speaking on Sky Sports News, Cellino said, “They should look after the club that they represent in a proper way.

“I don`t think they are doing it in the interest of the club and I don`t think they are doing the right thing.

“I really feel bad, they are hurting Leeds not Massimo Cellino, very deeply.”

Cellino will hope to hear the outcome of his appeal before the weekend after the QC adjourned the appeal case on Monday, reserving his judgement at that time to consider his verdict.
