Leeds United youngster Romario Vieira has been called up to represent Guinea-Bissau at international level.
The 19-year-old twin brother of fellow Leeds midfielder Ronaldo has decided to represent the country of his birth having been eligible to play for Guinea-Bissau, England or Portugal.
Romario, who was included in the Leeds first team squad at Hull City in January, has been a regular for the under-23 development squad this season and his inclusion in the Guinea-Bissau national side for their upcoming international friendly with Burkina Faso means the brothers have followed different paths internationally.
Brother Ronaldo has already earned international recognition with England at under-20 level, helping them win the Toulon Trophy last summer when he scored the winning goal in the final against Ivory Coast.
Romario`s inclusion in the Guinea-Bissau squad is the latest international call-up from Elland Road this month and a fourth from players that have featured at the Leeds academy.
Callum Nicell (Republic of Ireland under-19), Will Huffer (England under-20), Bailey Peacock-Farrell (Northern Ireland under-21), Stuart Dallas (Northern Ireland), Eunan O`Kane (Republic of Ireland), Pontus Jansson (Sweden), Ezgjan Alioski (Macedonia) and Hadi Sacko (Mali)
Honour to be called up to represent my home country Guinea-Bissau at a first team level ?? ??
