Jermaine Beckford will serve a one match suspension and will miss next weekend`s trip to Crewe for his petulant sending off in Saturday`s victory over Swindon Town.

Beckford who has only just returned to the team after serving a three match ban for elbowing Millwall keeper David Forde in February.

Beckford had given Leeds the lead just two minutes earlier before seeing red for his second booking of the afternoon.

The 29 goal leading scorer was booked soon after half time for a foul on Swindon defender Amankwaah. He then received his second yellow card of the afternoon after punching the ball away after a borderline offside decision went against him and a giving the linesman a verbal volley, He really didn`t give the referee much option but to show him the red card.

When he was suspended in February Leeds lost two of the three games he missed, since returning they have won three and drawn two with Beckford scoring six goals in the process.

Luckily Leeds have brought in centre forward Liam Dickinson on loan from Derby County on Friday and also have young American striker Mike Grella who could fill in next weekend.
