Jermaine Beckford is likely to be out for at least a month after it was revealed he`s got a tear in his hamstring.

The club are going to leave it a week before they send him off for scans to reveal the full extent of the damage.

With the busy Christmas period looming and Beckford just finding his touch again in front of goal it`s a severe blow to Leeds promotion aspirations.

Beckford`s scored nineteen goals in twenty four goals so far this season and he`s formed a tremendous strike partnership with partner Lucciano Becchio.

Leeds have recently been giving a trial to striker Malcolm Christie and he played in the cup tie at Northampton but has been injured once again since his debut so it will probably be left to Enoch Showunmi to fill Beckford`s boots.
