Leeds welcomed MK Dons for their first ever visit to Elland Road this afternoon in a crucial League One clash.

Leeds handed a debut to Sam Sodje whilst other new signing Darryl Flahavan didn`t even make the bench.

Jermaine Beckford was back to lead the attack in place of Dickinson.

Andy Robinson returned after injury and got a place on the substitute`s bench.

In a lively start MK Dons had the first real chance, Baldock`s free kick was parried by Ankergren and luckily for Leeds just went out and not into the goal.

Becchio had Leeds first chance on goal but his effort was blocked by the MK defence.

A very competitive first half hour with both sides finding it hard to work a clear opening on goal.

Robert Snodgrass was next to have an attempt for Leeds, his long range effort went straight at the MK keeper.

Jermaine Beckford eventually broke the deadlock on 37 minutes to score his 30th goal of the season, he gave Gueret no chance in the Dons goal with a clinical finish.

Beckford could have doubled the lead soon afterwards but Lewington got back to deny Beckford his second of the afternoon.

The half drew to a close with Leeds happy to be one up after a very competitive first half.

Leeds started the second half well and both Howson and Beckford had early chances for the Whites.

Jermaine Beckford coolly finished off a fantastic Leeds move to score his 50th career goal for Leeds.

Beckford could have clinched his fourth hat trick of the season soon afterwards but his shot hit the outside of the post.

Sam Sodje got a fantastic reception when substituted just past the hour after a very impressive debut.

Becchio almost got a third for Leeds but his downward header was well saved by Gueret.

MK Dos could have got back into the game after great work from Jason Puncheon, his ball into the middle was somehow missed by Baldock.

MK Dons were beginning to get back into the game and Stirling had a free header six yards out but it went over the bar.

Leeds were beginning to sit back a little and Sam Baldock`s shot was deflected wide by Michalik.

Four minutes of added time were added but that wasn`t enough for MK Dons to make any impression on the score line, Beckford tried to bring up his hat trick in style but his overhead kick went wide of the post.

Leeds make it eight home league wins in a row and are now firmly cemented in the play off positions.

Next up for the Whites is the away trip to Colchester United next Saturday.
