Jermaine Beckford was very apologetic after pleading guilty to violent conduct and accepting the three match ban imposed by the FA.

Beckford was charged with elbowing Millwall keeper David Forde in Monday`s TV clash although he only received a yellow card at the time of the incident.

Speaking on the official website Beckford said ‘I would like to apologise to my team-mates and to the fans that I will now miss a number of games,’ he told the club’s official website. ‘I have every confidence that the players will continue the push up the table, and my only concern now is getting back in the team when my suspension has ended.’

Beckford starts his suspension against near neighbours Huddersfield Town this Saturday.
