Leeds United came from behind to claim a 1-1 draw at Grimsby Town on Tuesday night.

With Leeds also at Wealdstone on the same night a squad of sixteen players travelled to Cleethorpes

There was a starting place for trialist Mathieu Baudry from Troyes.

Leeds fell behind in the first five minutes when Michalik should have cleared, the ball fell to Jean Louis Akpa Akpro who beat Ankergren from close range.

Grimsby enjoyed the better of the game in the first half and according to reports Simon Grayson read the riot act at half time.

Lucciano Becchio scored for Leeds five minutes into the second half after Mike Grella rushed the Grimsby keeper into a mistake.

Leeds enjoyed the better of the second half, the best chances fell to Robinson, Howson and Grella who all failed to find the back of the net.

Grimsby could have won it late on when Akpro missed a good chance.

Leeds can now get ready for a weekend friendly with Premiership Blackburn Rovers at Elland Road.

Trialist Baudry was replaced after 80 minutes bandaged and bloodied after suffering a head wound, received a great ovation from the Leeds faithful after a good performance.
