Leeds United chairman Ken Bates has said that Kasper Schmeichel has no future at Elland Road and the club will be moving on, with or without him.

Leeds agreed a deal with Leicester City on Monday for the services of Schmeichel who still has one year remaining on his current contract at Leeds.

Bates is making it clear though if Schmeichel decides to turn down a move away from Elland Road that he will not be featuring.

Speaking in the Yorkshire Evening Post , “We`ve decided that we`re going to sign two new goalkeepers and Kasper will not be first choice.
“Now he has a decision to make. He either accepts that he`s out of the limelight for a year or he goes to Leicester or another club that comes in for him. We will be moving on.”

Leeds have been linked with a host of goalkeepers since the news that they had agreed to sell Schmeichel.

The club currently have no first team goalkeeper after releasing Shane Higgs at the end of the season.
