Following on from his blast at Bradley Johnson, Leeds chairman Ken Bates says that he is hopeful the negotiations with Luciano Becchio will be sorted out in the near future.
Becchio is in the form of his life at Elland Road this season having found the net eleven times already.
The Argentinian is out of contract in the summer but Bates is sure that they can sort out a new deal for Becchio. Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Bates said, “We have no real problems with Luciano. He wants to stay at the club and the only thing is, his agent lives elsewhere and we have language problems. But we are hopeful to resolve that.”
Becchio seems to be revelling in the striker role now that he doesn`t have to do the work of two men and recently scored his first hat trick in Leeds colours.
With the January transfer window looming, Leeds fans will be hoping that the club can announce some good news surrounding Becchio and not have the sage that surrounded the eventual departure of Jermaine Beckford last season.
