Leeds United have banned Vuvuzelas from Elland Road, much to the delight of most people I am sure.

The noisy horn that became part of the recent World Cup in South Africa will not be welcomed at Elland Road.

Leeds Chairman Ken Bates, speaking on Yorkshire Radio said, “We won`t be having them. We will be firm; if anyone brings them, they will be thrown out.

They are a dreadful noise, and frankly we can do without it.”

Fellow Championship side Norwich City have also announced today that they will not be allowing them into their Carrow Road ground.

There are already eight Premiership clubs that have banned them from their grounds.

I am hoping that a number of other Championship clubs will be following suit in the coming weeks as they are the last thing I want to hear when trying to watch a game of football.

Fans in this country are the best in the world for their songs and banter on the terraces so let us keep it that way.
