Callum Nicell is the latest player from Leeds United to earn an international call-up next week.
Nicell has been included in the Republic of Ireland under-19 squad for their UEFA European Under-19 Championship Elite Round of games as they look to book their place in the finals in Finland this summer.
The 18-year-old, who has also played for the Republic of Ireland under-17s, made his under-19 debut last month in their double header against Romania, with Nicell starting both games.
The midfielder will hope to feature for Republic of Ireland as they face three games in the space of six days in Portugal.
They start with a clash against Slovakia on 21st March in their opening group games. Kosovo are next up on 24th March before they finish their group with a clash against hosts Portugal on 27th March, with the group winners progressing through to the finals this summer.
Nicell is highly regarded at Elland Road having travelled with the first team squad and he was named the academy player of the year last season.
The youngster is the latest Leeds player to be called up for international duty next week.
Will Huffer (England under-20), Bailey Peacock-Farrell (Northern Ireland under-21), Stuart Dallas (Northern Ireland), Eunan O`Kane (Republic of Ireland), Pontus Jansson (Sweden), Ezgjan Alioski (Macedonia) and Hadi Sacko (Mali) are all on international duty next week and they will join up with their squads after this weekend`s clash with Sheffield Wednesday.
