It proved to be a good weekend for Leeds United in the championship with only two sides winning in the top half of the table.
Leeds have moved up four places to seventh in the championship as the top half of the table saw seven sides draw on Saturday.
Whilst Leeds could sit back and relax after their comprehensive 3-0 win at Doncaster Rovers on Friday night, the championship was in full swing on Saturday afternoon.
First and third in the championship met at Pride Park. Derby County and Southampton shared the points in a 1-1 draw. Rickie Lambert was again on target for the saints and he draws level with Ross McCormack at the top of the goalscoring charts in the championship with nine goals apiece.
Middlesbrough missed a great opportunity at the Riverside when they were held to a 1-1 draw by struggling Millwall, who moved out of the bottom three with their point.
West Ham were one of the only sides to take advantage on Saturday in the top half with a 4-0 win at Upton Park over Blackpool.
Brighton and Hull City shared the points in a 0-0 draw at the Amex Stadium.
Cardiff City and Ipswich Town also shared the points in a 2-2 draw in South Wales.
Crystal Palace were the only other side in the top half of the table to win at the weekend as they won 2-0 at Watford.
Leicester City have the chance to move above Leeds today when they travel to Birmingham City.
At the bottom, the defeat for Doncaster against Leeds sees them return to the bottom three.
Bristol City remain at the bottom after a 2-1 home defeat by Peterborough United.
Tuesday night`s opponents, Coventry City move out of the bottom three with a 1-0 home win over Nottingham Forest, who replace them in the relegation zone.
Leeds still have a game in hand on the sides above them in the table. A win would see them move up to fourth place in the table.

Leeds welcome Coventry to Elland Road on Tuesday night, whilst the pick of the other games sees leaders Southampton welcome second placed West Ham United to St Mary`s Stadium.
