We now move into February in our review of last season as Leeds continue to stay in the play off places but still can`t sort out their defensive frailties.

Leeds come from two down to claim a point in a 2-2 draw at Hull City.

A superb free kick from Robert Snodgrass just before half time gave Leeds hope and a second from Davide Somma earn the point.

A rare clean sheet helps Leeds beat Coventry City 1-0 at Elland Road thanks to another goal from Somma.

John Howson caps a great season so far by winning his first cap for England under 21`s in their friendly in Italy.

On loan defender George McCartney calls time on his international career with Northern Ireland to concentrate on his league career.

Elsewhere on the international scene, Davide Somma scores for South Africa and Robert Snodgrass wins his first cap for Scotland.

Leeds sign defender Eric Lichaj on loan from Aston Villa for a month.

Goals from Robert Snodgrass and Max Gradel help Leeds win on the road at Bristol City in a 2-1 win.

Leeds and Norwich serve up a cracking game at Elland Road in a 2-2 draw. Luciano Becchio gives Leeds an early lead before they fall 2-1 behind.

Somma earns Leeds a point with a sweet volley with his first touch after coming off the substitute`s bench.

Leeds are at home again four days later and have to settle for another point in a 3-3 draw with Barnsley.

Max Gradel scores twice and a goal from Luciano Becchio cannot stop Leeds from dropping more points, with Barnsley scoring inside the final ten minutes to earn a draw.

There is more bad news when Bradley Johnson is sent off for two bookable offences and will be suspended for Saturday`s trip to Swansea City.

Mike Grella joins League One side Swindon Town on loan for the remainder of the season.

A lacklustre performance from Leeds sees them easily beaten at Swansea City 3-0 in front of the live Sky TV cameras.

The result sees Leeds finish the month in the final play off position but with a number of teams breathing down their necks.

Next week we will be looking back at March when the month starts well but lessons are not learnt from the Swansea defeat as the side produce more performances that are lacklustre.
