Leeds United have been heavily linked for former Hull City striker Abel Hernandez this summer but our interest in the last few weeks is said to have waned owing to the financial package the Uruguayan international requires to sign on the dotted line at Elland Road.

Fans are still hopeful that a deal can be done though as he’s more than shown what he’s capable of in the Championship and he would obviously be a massive asset to us going into the new 2018/19 season. Getting a signing over the line would also help calm tensions building in the fanbase as at the moment words aren’t being backed up with actions from the Boardroom.

With 27 caps to his name for his country, he is a free agent but despite our talks being reportedly stalled, he hasn’t yet signed with anyone else and there doesn’t seem to be a club in pole position for him either.

Having Tweeted the above, some fans took full advantage to encourage him to lower his demands and right himself into our history.
