Well, that’s one less bit of silverware to fight for this season.
Leeds were knocked out of the Carabao Cup on penalties last night to Stoke City. Having gone 2-0 down at half-time, United clawed their way back to 2-2 to force a shootout, however Jack Harrison missed the deciding kick to send the home side packing.
If there’s one positive to come out of last night, it’s that Eddie Nketiah was on the scoresheet again. Even though it wasn’t exactly a finish that will win any goal of the season competitions anytime soon, he still showed a great level of poise and skill to react so quickly and take it past Jack Butland.
After the game last night, he posted a message on his Twitter account talking about how proud he was for the way the team fought and how he was delighted to find the net for the club once again. His record now stands at three goals in four games in all competitions.
And Leeds fans were eager to encourage the on-loan Arsenal man for his performance.
Your a top player Eddie! Keep it up bro #nketiah #LUFC

Don't worry bro – Carabao Cup. Mickey Mouse. We started the game with a bunch of kids/2 midgets in defense & they needed a win to stop the gaffer gettin' the sack; ya put up a decent comeback tho. Good luck for Sat

He certainly has blended in well to life at Elland Road, I wonder how long it will be before people start talking about us bringing him in on a permanent deal.
