Back in mid-May reports began circulating that Leeds United had already secured a deal with Barcelona B young attacker Rafa Mujica, and although the speculation was always confident that he would arrive at Elland Road, the rumours went quiet after it was claimed that contract talks had stalled with Barcelona as they simply accepted he had now agreed a pre-contract arrangement with us.

Leeds Transfer Rumour Won’t Go Away With Reports Now Claiming Contract Talks Have Stalled

It was said that the 20-year-old would arrive as a free agent when his existing contract came to an end and plenty made passing references to how Kun Temenuzhkov had settled in after making a similar move himself the other year.

At the tail end of last week, Phil Hay took to social media to confirm that his arrival was expected imminently now.

The speculation always sounded nailed on and Hay won’t be wrong here in my humble. Given how Mats Bogusz settled in and impressed in the Under 23 setup last year under Carlos Corberan’s charge, hopefully Mujica has the same impact.
