According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Leeds United may have just reached a deal for Jerry Mbakogu after all.

We’ve seen the Whites linked with the player for some time this off-season but it looked as though Marcelo Bielsa had decided against bringing him in.

Certainly, it represents a risk given his lack of experience over here but now this more recent report is suggesting that a £1.6m fee has been agreed.

It remains on the table, then, by the looks of things so let’s see if a move gets completed.

The Verdict

I’d still be shocked if we sign him.

This story obviously has to have come from somewhere and it’d be only a small outlay but is there any point in bringing him in?

I’d imagine we’ll still decide against bringing him in, even though this story suggests otherwise.
