Leeds United travel to Middlesbrough on Saturday, but the starting XI to face Tony Pulis’ side still remains a mystery and fans have been suggesting their preferred XIs on Twitter.
Marcelo Bielsa has already confirmed that he will be without Adam Forshaw and Mateusz Klich through knee injuries, and Pablo Hernandez with a groin problem, which will see Kalvin Phillips and Jamie Shackleton thrust back into first-team action.
Their roles, though, are still very much up for debate, and some are speculating that the pair will combine in deep central midfield roles ahead of either a three or a four-man backline.
So far in the Championship, Bielsa has only played a three-at-the-back on four occasions but is unbeaten in those fixtures with a plus-five goal difference.
Four-at-the-back variants, meanwhile, have been used 26 times, with a 4-1-4-1 used on 24 of those, returning a 45% win rate and 39 goals.
Middlesbrough, in comparison, have rotated between eight formations under Tony Pulis this term, but turned to a 433 the most and savoured success 50% of the time.
Here’s some of the suggested line-ups and inclusions Leeds fans are hoping Bielsa considers…

3-3-1-3 looks a terrifying team to put out. Best of the best.

Not for me, only changes I would make is Douglas LB, Alioski LW, Pablo RW Klich, Phillips and Forshaw in the middle with Roofe up top … Bamford to come on later … never take out Forshaw against his old club #lufc

Looks interesting, how about switch Roofe and Bamford

How the hell can Ayling keep his place is beyond me
— Wayne Garnett (@waynesnodin92) February 7, 2019
Boro play 1 upfront to start but 2 at the end of the game so he’ll start with 4. Needs to be dynamic so Phillips can fill either role. Only 1 that can switch play as well

4-4-2 looks hot Bamford and Roofe up top Harrison and Clarke on the wings Phillips and Shackleton in the middle Ayling left back Jansson and Cooper in the centre of defence Alisoki right back Kiko minding the nets and Forshaw on the bench where he will cause no trouble
