Leeds United fans have been reacting on social media to a report suggesting that the Whites are a ‘step away’ from signing Mateusz Bogusz.
The report first emerged in Poland’s Sportowe Fakty on Tuesday afternoon and suggested that the Championship outfit has had a bid accepted by Ruchu Chorzow for the 17-year-old.
The ‘step away’ aspect stemmed from the contract for the player himself is not yet drawn up, but Leeds are believed to be in the process of doing so in order for Bogusz to move to Elland Road in January.
Leeds have been linked with a move for the teenager for a while, and were claimed by Przeglad Sportowy, via Sport Witness, to be ‘tempting’ Bogusz to join throughout December as the Whites knew his contract at Ruchu Chorzow is set to expire in the summer.
If the deal goes go through, Marcelo Bielsa and co. will have beaten competition from around Europe for his signature, with Brighton, Stade Reims and Napoli all said to be keeping an eye on the player’s progress.
Add the top-tier competition to his potential and Leeds fans are getting carried away already…
#LUFC bogus looks a player he won’t be in 21’s for long.

Are you sure the news isn’t Bogus? (Sorry)

Mateusz Bogusz set to become another player for the development squad. Napoli wanted him on trial, Brighton also interested. Makes for good reading and will hopefully settle well with Klich here #LUFC

Not a u23 player we want. We need a ready made 1st team player.
