Tuesday evening was an interesting night for fans of football as Liverpool completed an unexpected fight back over Barcelona in the Champions League Semi-Finals and there were plenty of interested on lookers when it came to Leeds United fans.
Some for the football, some no doubt hoping to see the Anfield outfit embarrassed, but there were those simply watching on to see how former player James Milner was getting on.
It was another strong performance from the versatile former England man as he started in central midfield, before covering at left back and he was clearly emotion at the achievement come the fulltime whistle.
Not for the first time, plenty of the Elland Road faithful were delighted for him on a personal level and it became another good night to set a certain narrative – Milner lifts the Champions League title and then returns home to where he belongs, hopefully with Leeds having been successful through the Play-Off route to promotion.
We can but dream.
Got say WOW! Well done @LFC and so happy for James Milner… but can we still have him back? @LUFC

Milner in tears and singing YNWA… unbelievable scenes. I’m sure he’s upset about missing out on automatic and cleverly slotting in MOT lyrics where he can #lufc
