Leeds United have enjoyed a dramatic campaign so far, which has seen the Peacocks establish themselves among the leading contenders for promotion.
However, a 4-1 defeat to West Brom prior to the international break saw Marcelo Bielsa’s side slide down the Championship standings to third – now sitting just four points above tenth-placed QPR in what is developing into a fierce fight for a return to the Premier League.
While the battle on the field rages on, plenty of discussion has also gone on behind the scenes regarding the television agreements for the Football League – with the current deal with Sky Sports attracting plenty of criticism.
However, a breakthrough seems to have been reached as a new deal has been announced – although this has resulted in plenty of backlash on social media as supporters have expressed their dismay at the agreement.
We have gathered some of their reactions below.
Let’s hope where not in it and can have some of the @premierleague @SkySports 💰 💰 💰 instead

The reason is right there in your post. Leeds were opposed to it, therefore it was always gonna go ahead.
We should have declared our unwavering support for it instead

And the other thing in the best interests of the EFL is to keep @lufc in the Championship. Fraudsters

Well here’s the masterplan. Are you listening @andrearadri. MAKE SURE WE AREN’T IN THIS LEAGUE NEXT SEASON. JOB DONE #LUFC

Time for Radz to spend less time on this and more time making sure we get out of this league and away from this cash cow. Break FFP, pay it back with premier league cash like Bournemouth did

So it’s Premier League next season then – either 1 or 2.
