We suffered a bit of a reality check at the weekend as Birmingham ended up beating us at Elland Road.

Of course, we were never going to go a full season without losing and it was always going to be the case that, in some matches, we were going to be a bit off.

Clearly, that is what happened at the weekend and now it’ll be interesting to see how we bounce back.

Personally, I think we’ll return to form straightaway but, even so, we need to learn from the game and what Liam Cooper has had to say needs to be adhered too.

The defender has started nicely this season, much like his team-mates, but has said that a slow start cost us the game.

Telling the YEP, he said:

“As players we’ve got to take it on the chin. We talk about standards and we’ve set them all year so to come out like that isn’t good enough.”

He’s spot on, too, so now we’ll just have to wait and see whether or not we’ll put those words into practice and kick on.
