Leeds United have been flying high in the Championship this season and have established themselves amongst the leading contenders to earn promotion to the Premier League.
The Peacocks enjoyed a fine weekend last time out after beating QPR and results elsewhere meant Marcelo Bielsa’s side opened up a five-point advantage over third place Sheffield United heading into the busy festive season.
There is still plenty of work to be done though and Bielsa is likely to be active when the market reopens in a few weeks time to bolster his squad and one area of focus is set to be between the sticks, where the current squad lacks depth.
Bailey Peacock-Farrell is the only senior goalkeeper currently available for Bielsa after Jamal Blackman saw his stint on loan from Chelsea end prematurely due to injury and one player who has been touted with a move to Elland Road is Burnley’s Tom Heaton.
The England international has fallen down the pecking order this season following Joe Hart’s arrival but he conceded six in a defeat to Leeds’ U23 side this week, which led many fans to urge their club to avoid a move.
