Leeds United have had many fantastic teams over the years and David O’Leary’s side is the last Whites outfit that could mix it with the best in this country and in Europe.
And, one man who played his part during that successful period was Danny Mills. The right-back made 131 appearances for the Yorkshire outfit and helped them to the Champions League semi-final back in 2001. Therefore, the club took to Twitter this morning to wish the former right-back a Happy Birthday as he turns 43 and included a clip his memorable goal at Bolton.

Despite that, there was some negativity to the update, with some fans still not happy with Mills’ actions towards the end of his time at the club.
Will Leeds United be playing in the Premier League next season?
Yes
No
The England international remained contracted with the Whites until 2004 despite the financial position the club were in and a section of the support feel he should’ve secured a move away permanently a lot sooner than he did in order to help Leeds.
Although, it should be said others were happy to look back at his career and that fantastic goal. Here we look at some of the comments about the ex-player…
I remember this goal like yesterday!!

Loved this game! Remember Wilcox cutting in on his right foot and scoring an absolute screamer too! #LUFC #MOT

Did he not hold the club to ransom after he left when we were skint and had to carry on paying his wages. Not sure I will be wishing him a happy birthday thou he always gave 100% for our cause his departure left a bad taste #greed
