Leeds United have had many fantastic teams over the years and David O’Leary’s side is the last Whites outfit that could mix it with the best in this country and in Europe.

And, one man who played his part during that successful period was Danny Mills. The right-back made 131 appearances for the Yorkshire outfit and helped them to the Champions League semi-final back in 2001. Therefore, the club took to Twitter this morning to wish the former right-back a Happy Birthday as he turns 43 and included a clip his memorable goal at Bolton.

Despite that, there was some negativity to the update, with some fans still not happy with Mills’ actions towards the end of his time at the club.

The England international remained contracted with the Whites until 2004 despite the financial position the club were in and a section of the support feel he should’ve secured a move away permanently a lot sooner than he did in order to help Leeds.
