According to HITC, Leeds are among the trio of clubs in the race for Marcus Maddison as the deadline approaches later this week.

The Peterborough United man has been transfer listed this summer with it evident that he is too good for League One.

Indeed, he racked up goals and assists last season for them and with just days left in the window the Whites remain keen on his signature.

However, the report also states that Reading and West Brom are keen on the player so it remains to be seen exactly who gets him – if anyone indeed does.

Certainly, though, I think we need to be doing all we can to try and bring him in.

Our squad is looking okay but it could do with a bit more creativity going forwards and Maddison brings that.

Him combining with Samuel Saiz would create a lot of chances for our forwards.
