Leeds United host Everton at Elland Road, on Tuesday 30th August, kick-off 8 pm.

Leeds United head into Tuesday’s fixture hoping to return to winning ways and consolidate their place in the top six of the Premier League. After narrowly losing out at the Amex Stadium on Saturday, Jesse Marsch and his squad will be hoping to bounce back against an Everton side that has failed to win any of their opening four games. The Whites, having taken 7 points from a possible 12 so far will not be taking the game lightly knowing the Toffees haven’t lost in their last two trips to Elland Road.

Everton recorded a good point away at Brentford on the weekend and could have had all three if it had not been for Vitaly Janelt’s late equaliser at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Leeds coach Jesse Marsch is unlikely to make many changes to his side, despite the loss to Brighton. Long-term absentees Luke Ayling, Stuart Dallas and Junior Firpo are all making good progress, whilst captain Liam Cooper wasn’t involved at all at the weekend, despite playing 45 minutes of the Carabao Cup win over Barnsley. Luis Sinisterra is knocking on the door for a start and Patrick Bamford may be in line for a recall. The striker though, may have to make do with a seat on the bench as he slowly returns to fitness following an abductor strain.

Everton boss Frank Lampard must decide whether to hand new signing Neil Maupay his first minutes of the campaign after his arrival from Brighton. Lampard hoping his switch from the Seagulls, will go a long way in taking the pressure off Demarai Gray and Anthony Gordon in front of goal. Gordon is the subject of mounting speculation of a move away to Chelsea, but it looks like it may go down to transfer deadline day, with the youngster’s Everton future still up in the air. Solomon Rondon is pushing for a start, whilst Dominic Calvert-Lewin continues his recovery from a knee problem.
