After the late shock of losing to Colchester, Leeds look to bounce back against a Burnley side who must at least have one eye looking over their shoulder, another game for Leeds United that could be make-or-break for the clubs season.

Vital Quotes:

Robbie Blake has targeted at least 7 points from the remaining four games and believes that will be enough to ensure Leeds play Championship football this season.

‘Monday was a kick on the teeth but we’ve got to bounce back stronger

There’s only four games left now so we have to do it quickly. Our two home games are must-win and if we can get a point away from home, I’m sure that will be enough.’

Burnley boss Steve Cotterill is targeting this game as a chance to finish the season ‘in style’ after what can be considered a distinctly average year.

‘It has certainly been a good week. We gave the boys a few days off to charge the batteries and they were nice and bright on Friday morning, so we are pleased that we can go into the Leeds game more relaxed than 10 days ago.

‘Having said that, we are not too relaxed because this is another game we want to do well in.

‘I have targets in my mind, but at this moment in time we are just interested in keeping our good form and results going.’

Leeds United Team News:

Leeds will be without Jonathan Douglas, who starts his 5 game suspension with David Healy taking over as captain. Apart from that nothing really to report, Rui Marques is expected to continue to deputise for Frazer Richardson

Player to watch: David Healy

Healy starts his first game as the new Leeds United captain; will captain fantastic save our season?

Burnley Team News:

Burnley are expected to field the same side that they have for the previous 3 games, McMahon and Foster won’t play.

Player to watch: Steve Jones/Paul McVeigh

Both players have scored 2 goals in 2 games, an obvious threat!

Useless Facts

Actor Malcolm Hebden was born in Burnley. You will know him better as Norris from Coronation Street.

Coronation Street was first broadcast in 1960.

In 1960 a Soviet missile shoots down an American Lockheed U2 spy plane; the pilot Francis Gary Powers is captured.

Ref Watch:

The referee today is S J TANNER

The last time Steve Tanner was in charge of a Leeds game booked 6 players in the 1-0 defeat to Derby in December

Match Prediction:

1-0 Leeds, super David Healy to be the hero.

Next Up:

After Burnley, Leeds make the long long long journey (I’d suggest you fly, but then I like flying!) to Southampton on the 21st April.
