Leeds United Transfer Wait

It is believed that Dennis Wise may have to sit on his hands until July in order for the CVA agreement to be formally accepted by the Football League and thus, allowing him to enter the transfer market.

With Gary Kelly, Neil Sullivan, Steve Crainey, Ian Moore, Robbie Elliott, Hayden Foxe, and Armando Sa all departing the club, and Alan Thompson`s departure likely, it is obvious that Wise will need to replace these players as the club looks to bounce straight back into the Championship.

A football league statement read: ‘The Football League has noted the decision of creditors of Leeds United Football Club to approve a proposed CVA.

‘For legal reasons, it will now take a further 28 days for the CVA to be formalised. During that period, the League can make no further comment.

‘The League has also confirmed to the administrator the conditions that must be satisfied before the League board can consider transferring the club’s share in the Football League to the new company.’
