Any move we were hoping for for Phil Foden looks very unlikely to happen with the Manchester Evening News’ latest update in mind.

With Marcelo Bielsa and Pep Guardiola’s apparent relationship taken into account, rumours began to grow that Foden could come to Leeds in order to earn more first-team experience and build on his supreme talent.

However, according to this latest report any potential deal looks dead in the water now with the Citizens apparently wanting to keep him – who can blame them, to be fair?

The Verdict

Foden is a top young player in this country and I’m looking forward to seeing how he performs in the coming years.

Certainly, it’d have been more than nice to see his formative years as a player a bit closer to home but I can understand that City want to keep him under their guise.

Let’s hope we can get after some other top signings and seal them.
