Leeds United reject approach from Premier League side for key asset

|

Leeds United have excelled under the guidance of Marcelo Bielsa this season, standing at the top of the Championship after opening a four-point advantage over their title rivals following last week’s victory over Derby County.

The performances of Bielsa’s squad has attracted plenty of interest and the Peacocks have had to fend off interest in a number of their key assets – with Jack Clarke being courted by a number of Premier League clubs.

The Yorkshire Evening Post states that the Eagles had an approach for the 18-year-old knocked back by the Championship leaders, who are adamant their academy graduate will not be lured away by any of the Premier League’s bigwigs.

Clarke has also courted the attention of the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Arsenal after scoring two goals in 12 league appearances for Bielsa’s side this season and it seems interest will only increase over the remaining months of the season.
