Leeds United are on the verge of history under Marcelo Bielsa, but his current contract is set to expire at the end of the current campaign.
His side are just four points from ending a 16-year absence from the English top-flight and understandably, this will write him in Elland Road folklore – if his spell hasn’t already.
Will Marcelo Bielsa sign a new contract this summer?
Yes, 100%!
No, he's off!
Although the Argentine has a desire to stay as long as everything is “present and correct,” according to The Athletic’s Phil Hay, who delivered a huge hint about his future in west Yorkshire to fans on Twitter this week.
Presumably, this means that Leeds go up and do not collapse in these final three matches.
He said:
they'll need to negotiate a new contract with him. But he wants to stay if everything's present and correct.

In just his second season at the club, Bielsa has delivered exactly what he was brought in to do – clinch promotion to the Premier League. Okay, it still might be a little premature to say that, but it’s firmly in our hands.
The players proved on Sunday that they can battle adversity and pull through no matter what so four points from their final three is more than achievable – thus, United should be crowned a top-flight team soon.
And in turn, that should see Bielsa open to the idea of a contract extension. As Hay mentions, the club merely has to negotiate a new deal with him and that the 64-year-old wants to stay given the right circumstances.
We should undoubtedly learn more in the coming weeks, but this hint from one of the most reliable sources in the business is hugely encouraging.
