Leeds United fans have flocked to Phil Hay’s latest update surrounding rarely-seen loanee Jean-Kevin Augustin and many are absolutely furious with the news.
Following the Whites’ 1-1 draw with Luton on Tuesday night, The Athletic reporter claimed that the club wouldn’t be extending his deal with it expiring on June 30th.
United have since confirmed this on the official website.
What that means for their €21m (£18m) obligation to buy, should they gain promotion, very much remains to be seen – although Hay thinks the west Yorkshiremen will try to wriggle out of it if at all possible.

The 23-year-old leaves Elland Road having made just three substitute appearances, playing a total of only 48 minutes, via Transfermarkt.
It’s been quite the disastrous move considering Victor Orta splashed out around £2.5m for him, both fee and wages included, as per Football Insider.
