Leeds United bolstered their position at the top of the Championship table with an emphatic victory over Blackburn Rovers on Saturday afternoon.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side romped to a 3-1 victory at Ewood Park to move four points ahead of title rivals West Brom and six clear of the playoff positions – technically.

The Argentine made two changes to the starting XI and it paid off, but much of the plaudits were left with loan star Ben White for what was another dominating display.

Patrick Bamford opened the scoring early on before Kalvin Phillips doubled the advantage with an exquisite free-kick reight before half-time.

Should Leeds break the bank for White in the summer?

No way!

Rovers answered with a set-piece of their own as Adam Armstrong curled one over the wall and past a helpless Illan Meslier but provider for the opener, Mateusz Klich, turned scorer with a goal just five minutes later.

White really impressed the Elland Road faithful watching from home – per SofaScore, the 22-year-old notched a whopping seven interceptions, won five duels and even had two successful dribbles, though he also lost possession 21 times and had a sub-par passing success rate of just 63%.

Many fans couldn’t resist throwing further claims to why the club should sign him on a permanent basis – good luck with that one.
