Loads of Leeds United fans have flocked to an update on one of their reported summer targets.
The Daily Mail’s Craig Hope has revealed that Middlesbrough centre-back Daniel Ayala has refused to play in their remaining nine Championship fixtures with the northeast outfit facing a tough relegation battle to stay in the division.
It means the 29-year-old will leave the club on June 30th and is free to go elsewhere – surely the door has now opened for a player that has been considered as Victor Orta’s top priority in recent months.
Is Ayala good enough to replace Ben White?
Yes!
I'd rather Foyth!
Not a chance!
However, plenty of supporters at Elland Road have shrugged off the idea of signing him with many choosing the blast him for his antics towards Boro’s plight.
The Spaniard is clearly not a wanted man in west Yorkshire, he’s been labelled a coward and a traitor whilst others have questioned his ability to cut the mustard in the Premier League next term.
Here’s what has been said…
If there was a 0.0000000001% chance we were interested ( which there wasn't), there definitely isn't now.
Not interested in cowards or traitors.

Ridiculous stance from Ayala. To refuse to play for the club who have paid your wages through this crisis is horrible.
Hope Leeds donβt sign him for that reason alone. https://t.co/O4eihVQOGl

Nah, you can make that idea disappear right now. Attitude absolutely stinks. https://t.co/IeJFIOkd5N

Refusing to play? Another reason to stay well clear.

Absolutely appalling attitude when his clubs in a relegation battle. Hopefully nobody picks him up as a result but this is the problem in football, they continuously get rewarded for a lack of commitment and underperformance
