Leeds United look to cement a place outside of the relegation zone by continuing their 100% record against 4th placed Swansea.

Vital Quotes:

Leeds United boss Dennis Wise is looking for his side to continue their impressive streak, but is wary of the threat imposed by Swansea.

Speaking to the Leeds United official website, Wise said: ‘Football is funny and when you’re doing well you can get a kick. We don’t want a kick; we have to keep doing what we’ve been doing.

‘Swansea play good football and they’ve won their last three games.’

The Swansea manager has continued in what is becoming a typical opposition response, positive with a hint of bitterness: ‘I know the players will really appreciate running out at Elland Road to see so many Swans fans there to support them. And I can guarantee you, it does make a difference.’

‘They have seven or eight players with Premiership experience, and they have strikers in Jermaine Beckford and Tresor Kandol.’

Honeymoon period? Seven or eight of our current team with Premiership experience?

Mr Martinez, you`re in cloud cuckoo land!

Leeds United Team News:

Alan Thompson will miss out having not recovered in time to feature in Saturday’s match.

Aside from that, it seems like Dennis Wise has a full team to pick from and will more than likely keep things as they were for Bristol Rovers.

Player to watch: Super Tresor Kandol

He likes art, he likes backflips, and he likes scoring goals.

Expect our Kandol to light up Elland Road once more.

Swansea City Team News:

Vital Swansea City are reporting that Andy Robinson and Leon Britton will both be sitting out their biggest away day of the season.

Ferrie Bodde returns following a 3 game suspension for head butting another player. Mr Boddie would like to point out however that he is not mad: ‘I’ve never done something stupid like that, but I have learnt the lesson,’ said Bodde.

‘I read a story on the internet that I am a crazy guy on the pitch, but I’m not crazy, I only want to win’ he told BBC Sport.

Player to watch: Ferrie Bodde

Any footballer that has to turn to the media to convince people he’s not crazy must be worth watching!

Did you know?

Did you know:

  • Swansea City have the nickname ‘The Swans’ but did you know that the most common form of swan in the UK can stand at over 1.2metres tall, that’s four feet tall.

  • This would mean that your average mute swan is just 1 foot and 6 inches shorter than Dennis Wise.

  • Swansea is linked with the city of Mannheim, Germany.

  • Mannheim is home to the ‘Pylon Test Facility’ which is used for the examination of the static characteristics of pylons.

  • I bet even the Swansea fans didn’t know some of those amazing facts!

    Ref Watch:

Our referee for tomorrow is none other than Mr G Laws who hasn’t sent anyone off in his 5 games so far this season.

The last time he officiated a Leeds match, he had the cheek to book Armando Sa, loanee Michalik and Matt Heath during Leeds’ 1-1 draw with Leicester City in March of this year.

    Match Prediction:

We’re going to scrape this one I think. Swansea aren’t 4th placed for nothing.

Leeds win 1-0 with super Tresor Kandol being the match-winner.

    Next Fixtures:

Following our win against Swansea, Leeds United will travel to Gillingham on the 29th of this month.
