The Leeds United Ladies side require volunteers to assist them with their 2008/09 season, could you help?

The official Football Association website have carried the story, in which Leeds United Ladies’ team have called for volunteers to help them with on and off field activities over the course of next season.

Funding for the Leeds United ladies team was cut by Ken Bates as the club looked for any way of saving money, with the ladies successfully going it alone in securing sponsorship to ensure that they did not go the way of now resurrected ladies team Charlton Athletic.

The Leeds United Ladies site states:

“Leeds United Ladies is on the lookout for volunteers to help with match day and other activities next season.

The club is holding a Volunteers Open Evening at Leeds Metropolitan University’s Headingley Campus, at 7pm on Tuesday 17 June, for anyone who thinks that they maybe able to help”

“Please email club[at]leedsunitedladies.com with confirmation of your attendance; contact details and directions will be sent to you before the event. If you can’t make it, but would still like to help, send an email to the same address and we’ll be happy to meet you another day.”

If you have even a spare hour a week to help out, go for it. Vital Leeds United will be doing everything they can this season to raise the profile of the Leeds United ladies team.
