A short trip down the motorway to Nottingham on a Bank Holiday Monday for the Womens F A Cup Final.

Leeds played better yesterday than in there 2 previous finals in the past 2 seasons, however Arsenal ran out worthy winners.

The 1st half had Arsenal in the ascendancy for much of the half with Leeds Keeper and player of the match Carly Telford in outstanding form. Stopping everything the Gooners could throw at her. 2nd half saw the Gooners score 3 quick goals to take control of the game.

Leeds did have the ball in the net through Amanda Barr which was unjustly ruled out for offside in my opinion, if allowed to stand would this have made any difference, maybe we’ll never know. At times when Leeds did get into the Arsenal box unusually for them they panicked a little.

Did Leeds do the shirt proud YES and with such a young squad with the majority of players under the age of 20 if this squad can be kept together they should continue to contest for honours.

The one thing Leeds does need is a striker who can guarantee them 15-20 goals a season.

Well Done Girls!
