Leeds United manager Dennis Wise has said that he will be sending members of the 1st team squad boxing after being invited by the management team behind a brand new sports facility in the city.

Wise, who spoke to the official Leeds United website as he represented the club at the launch of the Hunslet Boys Club in the South of Leeds, funded by a massive £420,000 cash donation from Barclays bank was quick to talk about the good old days, and the offer he had received of letting some of his players take up boxing.

“I was talking to some people down here and they’ve invited us down to do some boxing,’

I’ve done it before with some players at Millwall so we’ll probably do it.”

So had some of your clubs supporters before, during and after matches Wisey!!!

He added:

“We didn’t have this when I was a kid – we used to go out on the fields and put jumpers out.”

Hmm, isn`t it, small boys in the park, jumpers for goalposts; in for tea time….spam on toast?those were the days!
