Dennis Wise is believed to be interested in bringing ex-Burnley goalkeeper Danny Coyne to Elland Road. Welsh International Coyne, 33 has been released by Burnley boss Steve Cotterill at the end of the season, therefore becoming a free agent.

It is believed however that Leeds will face a fight for the keeper, with Norwich City, Ipswich Town and Cardiff City all believed to be interested in his services. Coyne himself wishes to stay in the Championship, so Leeds` relegation may be another stumbling block. Coyne said: ‘It’s quite exciting really, so I’m looking forward to finding a new club and starting afresh.

‘It gives you that extra bit of hunger again to get back playing and prove quite a few people wrong.

‘I want to continue to play in the Championship but I’ll wait and see what happens over the summer.’

Leeds are looking for a new goalkeeper after releasing Neil Sullivan, who is likely to be joining Doncaster Rovers. The remaining senior stoppers at the club are Kasper Ankergren and Graham stack who were both at the club on loan, with their future far from certain.
