Controversy over ‘whodunit’ continues, however I think that is best left alone in this briefest of match reports.

Goals from Matt Heath and Robbie Blake secured the win, which saw a first outing in a Leeds shirt for Danish goalkeeper Casper Ankergren. Heath was the first to react to a Leeds corner after 27 minutes to nod home the opening goal. Robbie Blake scored with 18 minutes to go, before Palace set the hearts racing, scoring on 83 minutes to set up a tense finish.

However we held on, and whilst still bottom of the table Leeds must be looking at moving on up, rather than down, down, deeper and down. Due to their woeful goal difference, it’s safe to say that Leeds are 3 points off of safety. This win, despite being overshadowed by a mole in the team, should give the club more confidence.

The question is now, will the fans come back, the attendance was dismal and it’d be interesting to find out, just why.
