Leeds United’s Championship clash with Queens Park Rangers at the weekend saw two strange things happen.

The game kicked off at 3pm instead of being bounced around to suit the television broadcasters and we finally saw the award of a penalty in our favour for the first time in God knows how long (I don’t have the stat to hand!).

The visitors took the lead in the 26th minute as Nahki Wells found the back of the net, but Kemar Roofe had us back on level terms in first-half stoppage-time, and following the restart he had the opportunity to make it two after Toni Leistner was adjudged to have committed handball in the penalty area.

The decision was slightly controversial really, but given decisions manager Marcelo Bielsa has had to simply accept and swallow so far this year, if the belief is these things balance themselves up then it’s simply a step in the right direction.

Four wins on the spin and on we march and we would’ve returned to the top of the second tier table had Norwich not grabbed a stoppage-time winner of their own.
