Leeds Striker Set for Loan Exit?

Macca, no offence, but what exactly are you playing at?

Returning striker Leon Constantine may be sent out on loan in an attempt to regain match fitness as Gary McAllister clearly has striker options inbound.

With rumours of veteran Dougie Freedman inbound, it appears that the former Port Vale striker, who has looked reasonable-to-good when in a Leeds United shirt, will have to go out on loan should he wish to play first team matches.

Speaking to LUTV the boss said:

“He’s itching to get games, but I feel it would be unfair to come straight into the side.’

“He would benefit from getting games under his belt away from the pressure here so we’re looking to place him somewhere.”

One has to wonder, with Leeds not exactly scoring a hefty amount of goals, where the theory of sending younger strikers out on loan is, whilst keeping hold of such players as Tore Andre Flo who has been the subject of somewhat indifferent reviews of late due to his age.

I suppose that Macca, in all his great experience, knows best? Have your say!
