Mateusz Klich has certainly enjoyed a good start to the season and looks one of our most key players at the moment.
He endured a tough time last season and left on loan – prompting many of us to think that, actually, he might not be staying for much longer.
Marcelo Bielsa saw something in him clearly, though, and it looks as though that is starting to come out for us all to see on the pitch.
Klich has been quick to praise Bielsa for what he has done for him, then, with him saying via the YEP:
“I’ve matured as a player. I think I can give the team more than I could have done four years ago. My career has had a lot of ups and downs and I’ve gathered a lot of experience.
“Now I have the pleasure of working with an outstanding coach, Marcelo Bielsa. He opened my eyes to many things. I’ll try to show the same thing (with Poland) as I show with the club.”
Clearly, we all know what an impact Bielsa can have for players and he has certainly done that here this season already.
Klich is by no means the only man to excel under his management so far and I daresay he won’t be the last during his time at the club. Let’s see what happens.
